Park Upgrades Update
In 2014, we surveyed our community and realized some updates of the facilities were required, so we have embarked on a large revitalization of the park. We have completed new bathrooms/showers, the only publicly available horse arena in the valley has been updated, our well used fitness trails have been resurfaced, the slow pitch softball field has an excellent new surface. We have plans for a new kitchen and new pavilion, these are our next phases of the plan. A beautiful catering type kitchen and a open framed timber pavilion connecting to the kitchen with a breezeway.
The bathrooms/showers, were built this last winter, just a little north of the old facility. The Catering Kitchen plans are drawn up and we will start construction this September, 2015. The Pavilion Plans are also drawn up and hope to start it also in September.
We have a wish list of a new natural playground.
Exciting times for the Park and the Community.
YOU CAN HELP by purchasing a Metal Commemorative Plaque, all the proceeds go the Canyon Community Association. And of course Volunteering is lots of fun.

House Number Signs
We can't help you if we can't find you!
Properly displayed house numbers may save your home or your life!
Local emergency services (police, fire and ambulance) have concerns that many rural properties cannot be located by street number in an emergency, especially at night and in bad weather.
The Regional District of Central Kootenay urges all property owners to identify their homes by a visible number at the entrance to their driveway. (Bylaw RDC-2391 Civic Addressing Bylaw)
For your safety, we offer two-sided reflective green street number signs for a cost of $20 (tax included). A portion of this fee will be passed on to the Canyon Community Association.
You may have seen these signs in Erickson, as their community did this promotion a few years ago.
To order your sign now, please contact All Signs at 120 15th AVE N, they are handling orders directly. 250-428-7922.
